Welcome to West Side ES

West Side Elementary in Jacksonville, Texas, is proud to join over 5000 public, private, charter, and magnet schools worldwide in becoming a Leader in Me school. Leader in Me is a whole school transformation process that teaches 21st-century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment where we believe every child can be a leader.

In 2024, West Side Elementary was designated a Lighthouse School within the Leader in Me program. Our little leaders are the best around!

Jacksonville's Historic Stadium

We are proud of the Downtown Historic Tomato Bowl, located at the end of Commerce Street on Austin Street in the heart of downtown Jacksonville. One of the last remaining downtown stadiums in Texas, the Tomato Bowl has a rich 75+ year-long history. In 2025, the Historic Tomato Bowl was voted the Best High School Stadium in Texas by Dave Campbell's Texas Football.
