Welcome to my homepage! My name is Molly Thrash and I’m addicted to all things MATH! I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Math Coach at West Side Elementary for the past seven years and have loved every minute of it! In 1992, I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (with a Specialization in Reading!) from Stephen F. Austin State University. I am certified to teach all subject areas, grades 1-8 and also have my English as a Second Language Certification. After graduating from SFA, I returned to my home town of Rusk, Texas where I taught 5th Grade for twelve years. In 2004, I was hired by JISD to teach at West Side Elementary where I taught 3rd grade for one year and 4th grade for three years before moving into my current position as Math Coach. I get to spend my days working with the most AMAZING teachers and students on the planet! On any given day, you can find me observing math instruction, modeling lessons, offering instructional support to teachers during math lessons, assisting in lesson planning, pouring over data, or working with students in small groups as the Math Interventionist. Have I mentioned just how much I love my job? I am a proud supporter of Old Miss, but since I have a niece who will be attending LSU in the fall of 2016…GEAUX Tigers!!!!
